Oversized Blazer

Blazer: Vintage via eBay
Maroon cardi: Topman
T-shirt: Primark
Necklace: eBay
Skirt: Miss Selfridge

Today I dragged myself into town to go to Boots and have a nosy around some charity shops. I didn't find any bargains unfortunately, but I got a few essentials from Boots. Quite boring really!

I bought this blazer from eBay a while ago but haven't worn it yet. I almost wore it out of the house today, but despite wearing my snuggly Topman cardi underneath, it still wasn't quite warm enough to face the outside world! I have so many nice jackets I want to wear, but it's just too cold to go out without a big warm coat!

I've spent today listening to Stars, an amazing band that I don't think get enough recognition in the UK! I've seen them once in London and they were incredible. I thought I'd share a song from one of their older albums to maybe spread the love a bit ;)

Denim Skater Skirt

Cardi: vintage
Top: Primark
Necklace: New Look
Skirt: Primark
Creepers: Amazon

Well, I have had a ridiculously busy couple of weeks! I've either been working at the Co-op or working on Uni projects, it's been mad! Technically I'm supposed to be working on an assignment now but I'm treating myself to a break as I'm well overdue to write a new blog post!

This top and skirt were Primark treats while I was at home last week. I spent almost £30 in Primark, but only bought three things! They've gotten so cheeky with their prices recently. I also bought a bag in the New Look sale and a skirt and some jeans from Internacionale. I'm really annoyed though as the jeans have already ripped at the seams on the inside of my leg and I've only had them for two weeks! Not sure if I'm entitled to a refund/replacement as I threw my receipt away, and obviously I have worn them a few times, but I've tweeted Internacionale and will see what they say.

Most of this week has been spent working on an event that my house mate and I are putting on. It's very exciting and we really need to sell some tickets so we can cover our costs and have an awesome night! I've put a link to the Facebook page below, if anyone's interested in coming!

Lashes of London Wishlist

Lashes of London are currently running a 'create a wishlist' competition. I wasn't really aware of the brand until I saw the competition promoted on Twitter, but I had a nose through their website and there are some serious gems on there! My faves are a mix of grungy/luxurious with dark colours, sequins and velvet, my ideal outfit combination! Here are my four favourite pieces:

1. Netz Heart Back Sequin Tee: I love tops with cut out/sheer sections like this one. Makes it exciting enough for a night out, but they can also be worn in the day without being too indecent. This one has the added bonus of a heart-shaped cut out, and sequins = perfect combination!

2. Copson Tie Dye Dress: I am in love with this dress, it is just perfect. If I didn't have to wait two months to get paid from work (awkward contract, booo!) I would snatch it up immediately. It's the perfect mix between girly with the waterfall cut and grungy with the black and bright green tie dye. Yeah, I desperately need this dress in my life!

3. New Romantic Velvet Leggings: The colour of these is just great, and I am a sucker for velvet. These would look amazing with a black semi-sheer blouse for a night out, or an oversized white t-shirt for daytime.

4. Zines Sequin Tee: Like I said, sequins are awesome! And I love the colours in this. I never really thought much of greens/blues in clothes but I think Lashes of London have convinced me that actually, they work pretty well!

Pancake Madness!

Today I crawled out of bed and downstairs to find a huuuge box at my front door. I opened it to find an adorable hamper of pancakes and goodies from Abra-ca-Debora via Cowbiscuits.

In my hamper I got two packs of sweet pancakes, two packs of original pancakes, a bag of mini pancakes, Marmite, Green and Blacks chocolate, plum chutney, golden syrup, sugar and a lemon! More than enough for pancake treats today. Unfortunately I am off to work so will have to wait until later to scoff it all, but I will definitely get on it when I get home! I'm also excited to make actual meals out of the savoury pancakes, the Abra-ca-Debora website has loads of lovely-looking recipes!

Blog Love

I've not had the best of weeks this week; there's been a lot of negative energy floating around and I'm getting tired of bitchy, two-faced people and dealing with my own personal problems too. Not wanting to add to the negative energy by whining on my blog (well, not too much!), I decided to send out some good vibes and write a post about some of my favourite bloggers! When these guys pop up on my Bloglovin' feed I get a little bit excited!

This girl puts together such lovely outfits; she really inspires me as she's so good at simple everyday-wear but also killer dresses. She also has unbelievably gorgeous hair!

I met Claire briefly at SWBXmas and I have been a keen follower ever since, haha! She posts an awesome mix of stylish outfits and also really interesting lifestyle posts, definite winner!

Lyzi @ Being Little

I have been a mad stalker follower of Lyzi for absolutely ages. I used to follow her on DeviantART back in the day! I am crazy over her artwork and her individual, quirky style.

Rai @ Blargle Fargle

Another girly I met through SWBXmas, I love her fashion sense and her personality! She was also lovely enough to put up a free advert for my blog on hers last month, so definitely worthy of a feature on my stalklist ;)

Girls' Night Out

This week as I may have already mentioned, two of our male housemates (we have four in total) went to Amsterdam for a few nights, so we decided to have a girly week consisting of cupcakes, nail painting, pretty dresses and cocktails! I wore this lovely Motel dress I nabbed in the sale; I altered it a teeny bit by adding some studs along the top though. I also wore my F+F/Tesco boots for about five minutes before swapping them for my Office flatforms because they were way too uncomfortable!

.

(Handcuffs necklace from Accessorize, eyelashes Katy Perry for Eylure)

Girly night ended up being a bit of a fail really; we got to the train station and realised we had to wait 40 minutes for the next train so we went to Wetherspoons, where I realised I'd left my purse at home! So I had to mush back up the hill to our house (luckily only five minutes from 'Spoons) and grab it! Then when we eventually got to Cardiff we went to Tiger Tiger which was crazy overpriced, even with two for one cocktails, so we went to Glam which was a bit lame and the music was rubbish. So we ended up in Live Lounge as usual, which was great until boys started creeping on us and in the end we just got food and went home. It was nice to spend time with my gals but sucks that we really could have done with our boys there to keep the creepos at bay! Oh well, you live and you learn!
